One step to start patients on VUMERITY

One standard blood draw to start1

  • Complete blood count (CBC) with lymphocyte count
  • Liver tests (serum aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase, and total bilirubin)
  • Follow up with the same blood draw for CBC with lymphocyte count at 6 months, and every 6 to 12 months thereafter, as clinically indicated
  • Repeat liver tests as clinically indicated

Consider interruption of treatment in patients with lymphocyte counts <0.5 x 109/L persisting for >6 months

There is NO requirement in the VUMERITY Prescribing Information for the following tests prior to use:

  • There are no adequate data on the developmental risk associated with the use of VUMERITY in pregnant women
  • Instruct patients that if they are pregnant or plan to become pregnant while taking VUMERITY they should inform their healthcare provider
